Dasein: Emergence

The first annual Dasein AI Film Festival took place in April 2026, bringing together international filmmakers, artists, and audiences for an evening of AI cinema, experimental storytelling, and conversation. In July, Dasein continued with its first intimate, bi-monthly screening. Now, we return with Emergence.

This will be our second one-hour community screening, featuring a new international selection of short films submitted by creators from around the world. The program explores where AI filmmaking is today, what new artistic forms are emerging, and how these rapidly developing technologies can become part of a thoughtful, imaginative, and human creative culture.

The focus extends beyond the technology itself. These films explore memory, identity, relationships, loneliness, desire, perception, consciousness, humor, mortality, connection, and the experience of being alive in a changing world. Together, they reveal how artists from different cultures are responding to this moment and transforming new tools into new cinematic languages.

The event is open to everyone — filmmakers, artists, technologists, students, and anyone curious about the future of cinema and creativity.

Dasein is now a year-round platform, presenting intimate screenings every two months alongside its larger annual international festival. Each gathering introduces a new collection of films, voices, and perspectives while helping the Dasein Creative Circle continue to grow.
