The Continuum

June Screening

The First Edition

The first Dasein AI Film Festival took place on April 26, 2026, at Upcider, San Francisco. 22 films screened. 7 award winners. Two parts, a break, a full room.

It confirmed what the festival was built to be.

Being at the Edge of Presence

The first edition explored a precise axis. This gathering opens the field.

Not human. Not machine. But being itself.

The films presented here come from submissions that did not align with the first edition's specific theme — not excluded for lack of strength, but for existing beyond its frame. This is where they are seen.

Program Format — 10 to 15 curated short films — Total runtime under 100 minutes — One award: Audience Award

Followed by conversation, connection, and the continuation of the Dasein Creative Circle.

RSVP — $13

A Living Structure

Dasein now continues as a bi-monthly screening series, each edition built around a new theme. These themes evolve in dialogue with Raising AI: An Essential Guide to Parenting Our Future, opening different entry points into consciousness, intelligence, and being.

Each screening leads toward the next major festival — expanded in scale, duration, and scope — planned for 2027.

A young man with dark hair and dark skin sitting on a beige cushioned bench, writing in a notebook with a gold pen. He is wearing a gray polo shirt and cream-colored pants. The setting appears to be indoors with natural light casting shadows on a wall decorated with abstract art and next to a green leafy plant.
